According to the statistics from China's MIIT (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology) on March 3, mobile phone users topped over 1.28 billion in the country as of the end of January 2016, of which 3G and 4G users had a net increase of around 53.2 million to reach 759 million, representing 59.3% of the overall mobile phone users. Meanwhile, China's mobile Internet users saw a net increase of 19.4 million to total 980 million in January, up 11.8% year on year. Broadband Internet users of China's three telecom companies, i.e. China Mobile, China Telecom, and China Unicom, posted a net increase of 1.45 million to reach 210 million in the same month. In addition, China's FTTH (Fiber To the Home) users reached 120 million, taking up 58.1% of the broadband Internet users.
